In an effort to mobilize good deeds, Toyota invited nonprofit organizations to apply to the "100 Cars for Good" program via their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/toyota), March 7-21, 2011. After the submission close date, the Japanese automaker called upon an independent panel of philanthropic and social-responsibility experts to choose 500 finalists. Five-hundred?!
